RE: Richard Willner

If you are ever unfortunate enough to be exposed to a peer review situation, you will thank God every day for the work and accomplishments of Richard Willner.

I don't know how he did it. He has almost single handedly changed the horizon of peer review in this Country, including for DO's MD's and Dentists.

I would assume that most of you would have thought this impossible. I would have too. He's not an MD or a lawyer.

But he did it!

He is the personification of how one person can make a difference. I liken him Candy Lightner, who lost her child to a drunk driver and single handedly created "Mothers Against Drunk Drivers." She had no budget and no power.

And she did it with legislators who are and were a bunch of drunks.

So to all of you here who let your lives be ruled by uncontrollable cynicism and lethargy, BEWARE.

You can be dead wrong. And I have just proved it.
