From a Post on a Medical Forum.

Check out the track record of Dr Willner at www.PeerReview.org. Dr Brian
Gale, the Podiatrist he initially helped is certainly doing very well
for himself.
What possible reason can you give that he should not charge for his
services when YOU charge for yours. Please explain to me what is the
difference.

NAIVE

It appears that you have not had many dealings with people in this
industry.
Certainly when you hear people who deal in Public Relations and advocacy
speak in a Public Forum, their language is generally polite and proper.
However,
in a one on one conversation the conversation is typically much more
dramatic. Different people in this field have their own personal
style. The bottom
line is that they use whatever means they can to get the person with
whom they
are speaking to pay attention to their points.
Richard Willner is clearly the front runner in the area of
Advocacy in the
Peer Review Arena.
This is an area where the Peer Review Organizations enjoy an incredible
shield of Immunity which insulates them from having grievances addressed
in a legal
arena.
These are human Beings making decisions on issues that often
relate to
personality, professional relationships, often secret, personal agendas,
market
shares, styles of practice, life styles, race, religion and many other
things that
should not be part of the peer review process.
Richard Willner has mastered the area of Extra Legal Methods to address
the
Peer Review Organizations. How do you Shine a Light on things that
these
Boards and Committees have done. They do not like the negative
publicity that
results when their mistakes and often corruption is made public.
Advocacy costs money. One should not expect it to be free. People who
promote things deserve to be compensated. That is whether they are
advocating as a
Lobbyist, or preparing an advertising campaign for a product or your
practice. Richard Willner acts as a personal advocate for individuals
to bring their
case to light, or possibly to restore a reputation that has been
trashed.
There are not many people who do what Richard Willner does. Where
would you
begin to find someone with his skills or even to know that someone with
his
skills exists when you need them. Certainly the best place to
tell people about
yourself and your services is anywhere that you are explaining what has
happen
need to others.
I DISAGREE with your message.
You may not like to admit that there are problems with the process, and
are
taking it for Professional Bashing. It is not. It is shining a
flashlight on
some areas that may be uncomfortable to you.
You may not like the dramatic way that he speaks, but he has certainly
gotten
your attention....so he has been successful.
You may not like the fact that there is someone there advocating for
people
who have gotten shafted...but he has been successful because you know he
is
there.
Richard WILLNER is a Master of the Extra Legal Approach to Defense
against
Administrative Injustice. You should be thankful that there is someone
that is
there to help you when you need him.
In my experience, people who are opinionated like yourself are just the
sort
of people who may need his services.

Agree w/J. Matthews
by FTDR
I could not agree more with the post by J. Matthews concerning
Dr. Willner. Dr. Willner must deal in the world of lawyers so you
may not like his personal style. Just as I am sure there are people
that do not care for your personal style when it is in a peer to peer
conversation.
In my brief conversations with Dr. Willner, I have found him to be
very high energy. The very kind of personality it takes to shine the
light on the rats of society that mask themselves as your friend in
high places.
You may not care for his style but someday,
God forbid, we may need his help. If that day ever
happens, we will be glad he is still in business because he
charged a fair market price to stay in business.
